Dr. István Béla Bors was born in 1975 in Csorna. As a young man he was greatly influenced by the painters of Győr, István Tóth Tóth Tóvári and László Barabás. In 1994 he was awarded a painting scholarship to Paris. He graduated from medical school in Budapest in 2001 and has been working as a spinal surgeon since then. Since 1998 his paintings have been exhibited in the Mednyánszky and Art Ten galleries in Budapest. In 2000, together with young artists, he founded the Figurative Attack Project and Performance, which was an initiative to catch up with the "modern" art in Hungary at the time. His first solo exhibition took place in Budapest in 2004, followed by a group show in Balatonlelle in 2005
