The renovation of our museum was completed in June 2022, and since then, more and more people have been visiting both the permanent and temporary exhibitions. Our exhibitions are popular and our lectures are sold out. In addition to nationally renowned artists, amateur musicians and visual artists from Somogy regularly take to the stage. Our school education programmes reach more and more children. The activities of our staff are constantly appreciated by visitors. This consistent and effective work and the presence of our museum in the life of the population was recognised by the Somogy County Municipality on 6 January 2025, when our director, Dr. Péter Pál Varga, received the "For the Citizens of Somogy" award at the ceremonial general assembly.
