The Lajos Kunffy exhibition will open at the MTA Academy Club on 3 October 2022. 14 paintings by the artist will be on display, including several that were last exhibited to the public 60 years ago. Examples include his painting The Gypsies in Council, the never-publicly exhibited Portrait of My Wife, and the Somogytur Reformed Church.
In addition to the privately owned paintings, the material of the Kunffy Lajos Memorial Museum in Somogytúr is on loan from the Rippl-Rónai Museum in Kaposvár, including outstanding pieces of the artist's oeuvre. The exhibition is open until the 15th of December.
